A global market leader and OEM in the x-ray technology market, contracted Shape Services Ltd to build, install and commission a number of cargo vehicle scanning and x-ray Inspection systems comprising not only of x-ray technology but access control, closed circuit television (CCTV), license plate recognition (LPR), under vehicle inspection system (UVIS), radiation monitors and operator control rooms, all integrated in to one system, in multiple country’s around the Middle East and Africa.
Our project team were given a rolling program of dates to have systems ready for customer acceptance, testing and handover. These dates while challenging was agreed as achievable so long as we had no major setbacks that would be outside of Shape Services control. Our UK project team managed logistics for subcontractors, suppliers and in-house Installation engineers, taking responsibility for all outcomes, in areas of operation that are renowned for being difficult and challenging.
With the collaboration of both home and overseas teams working together, the programme of works and projects were a great success, seeing the customer chain extremely happy. Our planning and execution meant that we delivered this project with no unpleasant surprises to our customer; safely, on time and within budget.
